exams sigh

Imagine it was a real patient I was dispensing my medication to this morning, and not an exam, I might have just got one of them (I got a dog as a patient too hehe) killed.

Maybe not until THAT extent, but I'm quite sure they would deduct many marks from me for the slightest mistake. *curses* Bye-bye 60 marks *sobs*.

2 class test down.... 1 more class test to go.

Followed by the handling up of lab reports.

Followed by FMT 1 degree exam and FMT 2 degree exam.

Followed by Pharm practice exemption exam.

Followed by Pharm practice degree exam.

Sounds exhaustive right??

I NEED A BREAK! damn...

To entertain myself, I took photos of this pretty thing my friend plucked from a tree while studying out in the gardens. It's some berries, but it's poisonous.

big smileee

Thanks elot for being so thoughtful for my family.

:)

You know who you are.

You can not imagine how surprised and grateful and appreciative I am to hear what you did.

I'm sure my grandparents are just as happy as well to have you being so caring towards them.

This entry is dedicated to you. Hehe. Although I'm so busy I can hardly do anything else, I still spent a few minutes typing this entry.

is this considered a pre-exam post??

OMG.. I swear i will start saving from now n spend less money shopping. Really really need to ikat perut.

I have no intention of shopping at all. Until my housemate came running back telling me she thought she lost her purse when she actually left it at home. She realised it when she was at the til at NEXT. Damn, NEXT is on sale. So is River Island.

So ok, I told her, we'll go for 1 hour. A really fast one just to see what they offer.

They closed their fitting rooms due to the sale. And items bought are supposed to be tried at home and to be returned if they do not fit. So, I'm like 'ambil sajalah'. If I don't want them later, no prob at all bcuz I can return them. Surprisingly, when I reached home, they fit me!

I finally got a brand which fits me.

So, a super rushed shopping ended up with me buying so many things. Sigh.

A white denim which I've been hunting for even before I come.

Formal handbag. Which I don't even know why I need it. But, bah, I like it.

Accessories.

I'll be having exams non stop every week next week onwards. Therefore, I think I would be updating less so that I could spend more time burying my heads in my lovely darling books.

Oh, how I wish I love them so that I can spend more time with them.

sterile, sterility, sterilisation

Goodness, I have come across these few words for millions of times. Currently reading about everything which is related to these 3 words. FMT sucks!

And what's more, I had my 1st sterile lab. Had to change into sterile suits. Before putting it on, we had to strip til our bras n undies. I can't seem to breathe through the face mask, hence resulting in me lifting it up occasionally to take a deep breath of air. I bet the air is not fresh either, just plain sterile.

Had a needle stick injury too = blood = not sterile.

Thank god it was a clean needle. Trying to unsheath it before use. Pull, pull, pull, damn tight, pull harder n harder... opss... too hard.

:( Had to report accident n get plasters. Reporting it felt like a questioning session. Procedures.

Believe it or not, I laughed.

I'm weird. I admit. When I fall down, sprained my ankle, etc... I don't cry. I laugh.

That's me.

productive shopping

1st time I feel so satisfied with shopping. Spent the least time shopping but got something which I love the most!

A purple evening dress from Mango. Halter necked, with the back bare until the waist. I can't seem to find the words to describe it except for the word "PERFECT". I actually bought it bcuz I needed one for some company's gala dinner later on in Sept in Switzerland. And it just appeared at the right moment. It's difficult finding evening gowns here in the UK. Everything is just so flowery and summer-y.

Opss sorry no photo cuz I can't wear my bra with it. Haha.

The disadvantages??? I'm 45 pounds poorer and my bf is annoyed (and mad) that it's too sexy. Looks like I would need to spend lesser on food til the end of the month instead to make up for the amount I paid.

I still love it though.

3rd fire alarm

Sigh, sadly to say, we rang the fire alarm for the 3rd time since we got here.

Somehow, these things never seem to stop, does it??

This time, it's from my unit! Yes, my unit... my flat.

A friend of mine was cooking when I got back home. Well, I didn't know something was wrong when I got home. Slumber-ly I walked into my room without knowing there's a fire in the kitchen and like 2 seconds later, the fire alarm rang! Shocked.

The stupid grill-oven was flaming for god-knows-what reason. Memang cacated one lah. Before this, it's either too hot or not hot enough. Complaint has been made twice. They fixed it but it's still problematic. Now catch fire somemore...

The firebrigade and firemen came.. AGAIN.

And what they hell, they think we did not close our door while cooking again that's why the alarm went off. Bcuz when we were about to run down, the fire slowly put off by itself. So, they saw no fire.

The truth is, the oven was on fire and my neighbours purposely opened their doors so that the alarm rings and people can evacuate bcuz there was a fire. I saw it with my own eyes ok? (after the alarm rang, I could still walk to the kitchen to catch sight of the fire) They think we're liars.

What they expect us to do?? Leave the fire alone and do nothing abt it? Use your brains to think lah. Marah us somemore.

Accuse us for what??? Does it mean we should only call those firemen when the fire turns into a raging one? So the next time when there's a fire, we just sit down until it turns huge enough before we call them la?

Bengang betul.

1st trip out of town

With a lack of sleep, I went for this event called jousting at Linlithgow.

Damn funny, I had phone calls from home and bf asking where am I. And twice I had to ask someone beside me where am/was I. But now, yes now, I can finally remember that name. Susah lah.

It was on the way to Edinburgh. We took a train and I realised it was super fast that we got shocked (well, rinoa and me) when one of those train passed by us while we were at the station on our way home.

You can stand in front of the yellow line in Msia although they tell u not to.

But never do it here bcuz the train's so fast that it's so dangerous.

Stress, sat with an elderly couple from China. They started small-talk (chit-chat) with us, but the 'banana' me can only reply certain questions. Other than that, I just SMILEEE and nod at what they said.

Anyway, there was nothing much except the historical palace.

Pic taken at the entrance. 8 pounds tickets.

We stole the swords to fight like knights. hehe.

Jousting... Knights on horses battling to see who will win.

At the train station before we left. Showing the place where we went.

This is a cute pic taken by Rinoa by accident. We look like little girls somehow.

Will post my collection of photos there.

The end.

Sucky movie

Went for my 1st movie in Glasgow. Cost me £3.40 to watch Harry Potter. That's discounted price using Snapfax. In msian ringgit, it's a sum of over 20 ringgit. Student price back there is only rm6 or 7. Wah, can watch 3 movies back home already loh.

Well, the whole point of this entry is that the movie sucks. It's the lamest episode of all the Harry potter movies so far. Lame enough to get people to sleep in the cinema. I had to try not to fidget around too much.

Climax doesn't seem like a climax. The whole movie was just 'flat'. And tadaaaaa, the end! There wasn't any impact on me that the fighting scene started and ended. What a dissapointment. I was hoping for something much much better since I've been waiting to watch this movie since a few months back.

Prof Umbridge in the movie is typically like our Anne Boyter in Pharmacy practice class. Just imagine her and u can imagine what we are going through with her as our marker during exams. Everything's just so similar: the laugh, the pitch of voice, the way they speak, the cunningness.

As a reminder to those who had not been there, do not start taking your cameras/handphones with built-in cameras out and snap pics with it. People there might just confiscate your cameras/handphones til the show ends. That happened to one of my friends.

And at the entrance to the theatre, you might hear questions like "Did you bring any recording device?" and duhhhhh obviously the answer "no". Who wants their things confiscated if you say yes right.

the beauty of colours

One can never imagine how pretty colours can be. One can never imagine how pretty flowers can be.

A maple tree that can never be found in Msia.

A super huge rose. As big as my hands.

Daisies are all over where I live. The sight of the plentiful daisies when I walk out of my apartment everyday never fails to cheer me up.

This is how they look on a bright and sunny day.

Daisies look miserable if the weather get miserable (brr... too cold). No pic taken of that. They look like they just shrink up.

I love this pic. Everywhere you go, Glasgow typically looks like this. Sampai cannot recognise roads. Ancient!

PINKKKK!!! My favourite colour!

Lovely... Taken at a park. Don't cha wish we have parks that look like this back in Msia??

dance = love

There hasn't been any exercises for me since I'm here. Well, unless walking out to buy groceries counts.

Speaking about walking, I thought of my car. I miss my car! I hope I still remember how to drive when I get back.

I wonder how's my Myvi doing. Maybe I would not be able to even recognise my car bcuz too-rich-dunno-where-to-spend-money bro would modify my car kao kao. -_-"

Since there's nothing else better to do here, I'll be going for my 1st ballet class in Glasgow tomorrow! I'll have to wait til tmr to see how it goes. Kinda excited. Ballet in a Western country must be different from the *ahem* Msia.

I hope I do not end up hearing 'crack crack' from my stiff and unflexible body. Damn long never do ballet already.

I'm coming home

Not dat soon lah.

In December wei... Still got half a year.

I miss my family already. Especially my grandparents. :(

Yay, I got my ticket!

Damn blardy expensive lah. Enough to cut throat. What to do... Travelling at christmas holiday.

Everything needs money. No money no talk.
Want go back... need money.
Want go holiday... need money.

I've been tying my stomach from my 'old habit' of eating alot of junk food. So that,
1. I can save some cash. Junk food so expensive wei.
2. I can NOT gain weight until later I can't even fit into my current clothes.

Haha. Lame entry.
No class this morning.

1 month in glasgow

Time really flies. Can't wait to see my family cuz I miss them so sooo much. But right now, I'd better think of getting through sem 6. I'm dreading it.

I'm actually hunting for lovely bikinis and i haven't seem to spotted it so far.
:(

One which is nice in colour, nice in design and seexxeehhh enough! heheheh

Had my pharmacy practice class test 1 today. They disallowed my protocol. Each of us were allowed to write a protocol and hand it up to them before the exam so that they would put on our tables for the exam. Up to now, I still have no idea at all why they disallowed certain of our protocols. They should have made it clear to us what can be written and what must not. Wasting my whole night writing.

Doing it without the protocol wasn't easy. I did not make myself remember much things bcuz I thought I could refer to MY protocol. I did fairly ok I guess and fairly alright means I'm gonna fail anyway but not up to the extent of a mark which is too negative (I hope). I don't mind getting slightly below zero, not too much though. For u guys who do not know, this subject is stupid bcuz they minus marks from us like crazy. Getting something right doesn't score us as much marks as what we get deducted for for ONE mistake!

By the way, Ian Millar is expressionless. I was dispensing a laxative for constipation. He made me so nervous that I said "Do not take too much of this drug though, bcuz it would result in diarrhoea instead and I'm sure you do not want that as well". And I tried giggling abit to make him laugh as well. Hahaha... I can't stand dispensing medication to an expressionless face lah.

This is a few magnesium carbonates made in tabletting labs we had 1 week ago. Too many were discarded while trying to get tablets within the suitable weight and hardness. Therefore, it sort of tempted me to 'curi' them back as souvenirs. The 5 tablets are currently lying on my shelf.

And that's a pharmacist's good companion... the BNF. I can see the lines on the book! Goodness, I only owned the book for exactly ONE month. I can't imagine how it will look like after one year.

I recently made a change of look during laboratory sessions. From the snorkelling-look macam ini...

This ugly gorgles was bought from IMU.

the newly bought and FASHIONABLE gorgles from Strathclyde. Cost me 2 pounds 50. I did not buy it bcuz it's fashionable lah. It was bcuz the snorkelling-like gorgles were hurting my flesh on my face. Painful.
